about surname

hi  friends

i m going to ask u very controversial question.

we r chaudharis. this word itself reflect that it is a heavy word. being a chaudhari i 'm very proud of.i live n die by becoming only chaudhari.
i have many friends in general cast also. i don't know whether what they think about us but we never feel proud of our caste

we prefer reserrvation. but not as a "chaudhary" but as a patel.as a pavagadhi, as a bharti, and so on

so once again i ask u all, by changing caste  can all problems be solved?

Good one Ajoy..this is very good question you had raised. Yes many of us are there who changed their surname as you indicated..shame on them yar. If you live your place by heart then you never thought to change your surname..be Chaudhari proud Chaudhari..there is a cast in Rajsthan called "Meena" who belongs to ST & really I met lot's of Meena's they really proud for what they are. They don't hesitate themselves or even think that what other talk or say if they are identified as Meena..One simple thing is there that nobody in world is identified as jayesh or ajoy or chaudhari or patel but one is identified for what he had done or contributed...very good Ajoy keep opening eyes among many of us including me...
